This sandal is inspired by the antique handmade lace, Battenburg technique. It is a technique we grew up seeing our houses in our parents’ fine linens. The combined sentiments of nostalgia and longings for a human connection lead to return to the tactile and desire for this outdated artisanal craft aesthetic. The beloved antique is combined with a modern-cut sole to create a new and relevant sandal that is timeless and beautiful.
